As a tribute to Amsterdam's golden street football generation. Adidas and Daily Paper, an Amsterdam-based firm founded by three friends, Hussein Suleiman from Somalia, Jefferson Osei from Ghana, and Abderrahmane Trabsini, have teamed to provide Ajax with their 2022/2023 jersey. The partnership is significant for Daily Paper, which is marking its 10th anniversary this year. It is also the first time the Daily Paper has dipped in the sport, but it is a perfect match given the brand's prominence in the Dutch capital's fashion scene.
The new Ajax outfit has a golden jersey with red and black vertical bars, as well as white Ajax crests and sponsor badges that match the city's flag. It also looks like the vertical red strip on the classic Ajax home shirt.
In conjunction with the launch, Ajax, Adidas, and Daily Paper created a short feature film, directed by Rogier Smalhout, in which current and former Ajax players pay tribute to Amsterdam and its football community. Check it out
