Kafui Dey, a Ghanaian journalist and author who has lately been spotted on a mission to combat illegal mining in Ghana, posted a tweet on Twitter asking the public to help 'Stonebwoy's GREEDY MEN' an anti galamsey song receive a Grammy nomination for 'Best Song for Social Change.'
Best Song For Social Change is a unique special merit award produced by a Blue Ribbon Committee. According to the Grammy Recording Academy, this award will be awarded to a song with lyrical content that tackles a significant social issue and fosters understanding, peace building, and empathy.
Stonebwoy's beautiful song "Greedy Men" is a campaign to remind African leaders of their responsibilities to develop the continent as a whole and also underlining how Galamsey pollutes our water and lands.
