NEWS: J. Cole’s Reported ‘All My Life’ Verse Fee For Lil Durk Is ‘Cap,’ According To Cole’s Manager Ibrahim Hamad.

J. Cole's manager, Ibrahim Hamad, has refuted the claim that J. Cole received a verse fee for his appearance on Lil Durk's song "All My Life." The collaborative track, which served as a launch for Durk's album Almost Healed, gained significant popularity, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. However, fans became preoccupied with the reported amount J. Cole supposedly received for his verse. The speculation originated from music blog Raphouse TV, which tweeted that Lil Durk paid J. Cole $978K for his contribution, comprising 489 words at a rate of $2K per word. Despite J. Cole's prominent position in the rap scene, his manager clarified that the rumored fee is untrue.

Following its circulation and amassing over eight million impressions, Ibrahim "Ib" Hamad, J. Cole's longtime friend and manager, took a moment to challenge the assertion. Hamad dismissed the credibility of Raphouse TV, stating that their claim is false or, in his words, "Cap."

In response to the rumor, Lil Durk's team also addressed the situation. DJ Bandz, Durk's DJ, unequivocally stated, "False news, we have never paid for a feature... Ever."

When questioned about the reception of the song, Durk openly acknowledged in an interview with Complex, "[Cole] outperformed me on that track, just by a narrow margin. It's a rare occurrence. But I want to give a shout-out to J. Cole and [Dr.] Luke for making it happen."
