NEWS: ONErpm Expands African Operations with Key Appointment in Ghana.

Global music distribution company, ONErpm, has taken a significant step towards expanding its presence in Africa by appointing Nnamdi Okirike, a seasoned Nigerian music executive and marketing communications professional, to lead its operations in Ghana. This strategic move is part of ONErpm's commitment to tap into the immense potential of the African music industry, and solidifies the company's position as one of the fastest-growing independent music companies worldwide.

ONErpm differentiates itself by bridging the gap between a traditional record label and a distribution company. By leveraging proprietary technology, marketing expertise, analytics, and localized support, the company delivers comprehensive business solutions to over 100,000 artists, music labels, and creators globally.

Nnamdi Okirike brings a wealth of experience in marketing and the music industry to his new role at ONErpm. He previously served as a content executive at Boomplay Ghana, where he led a team responsible for creating, publishing, and promoting digital media content on the Boomplay Music app. Okirike also worked as a music editor at NotJustOk, covering the vibrant Ghanaian music industry for the online music platform. Additionally, he is a respected journalist and contributing writer for esteemed digital publications such as OkayAfrica and Complex.

Okirike will report directly to Osagie Osarenz, ONErpm's director of African operations. Osarenz played a pivotal role in launching the company's first African office in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2020, and spearheaded the establishment of five additional ONErpm offices in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa last year. This network of offices reinforces ONErpm's commitment to fostering the growth and development of African artists across the continent.

In his new position, Nnamdi Okirike will oversee marketing, distribution, and artist and repertoire (A&R) activities, providing essential support to ONErpm's roster of artists in Ghana. He expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, "I'm honored to be representing ONErpm in the West African region, and I see it as a golden opportunity to add value, create opportunities, and build structure in the African music ecosystem locally and globally."

Consistent with its dedication to expanding into key emerging markets, ONErpm's Africa team has already formed partnerships with Ghanaian talents such as Wendy Shay, Kelvyn Boy, DopeNation, and E.L. These collaborations highlight ONErpm's commitment to nurturing and promoting African artists, contributing to the growth of the local music industry and showcasing African talent on the global stage.
