Singer Sean Kingston is in more trouble as the Broward County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) wants him to pay for his extradition from California to Florida. This comes after he was charged in a $1 million fraud case.
TMZ reports that the BCSO is asking the court to make Kingston repay the $5,268.53 spent on his extradition. This money covered airline tickets, hotels, car rentals, and travel costs for the officers who brought him back to Florida.
Kingston's lawyer, Robert Rosenblatt, said that Kingston arrived in Florida on Sunday night. Right now, they are focused on getting him released on bond, so paying back the extradition costs is not their main concern at the moment.
Kingston is facing ten charges for allegedly running a scheme to defraud several companies. Authorities say he and his mother, Janice Turner, cheated an exotic car dealer, a jeweler, and other businesses out of large sums of money.
He is also charged with grand theft over an $86,000 custom bed, writing a bad check, and defrauding banks.
As the case continues, Kingston's legal team will first try to get him out on bond. More updates will follow as the situation develops.
