NEWS: Wizkid Talks Louis Vuitton, Pharrell, and His Upcoming Album, Morayo.

Wizkid is more than just a chart-topping musician; he’s an embodiment of inspiration. Speaking from his hotel room in Paris as he gears up for his first Louis Vuitton runway show, the Nigerian sensation behind hits like "Essence," "Ginger," and "Energy [Stay Far Away]" shares motivational mantras reminiscent of those found on inspirational social media posts:

"Nothing is too far out of reach," "If you can dream it, you can achieve it," and "There's nothing you can't do in life."

This emphasis on positive manifestation aligns him with Pharrell Williams, the men's creative director of Louis Vuitton, who named the LV Men's SS25 collection Le Monde Est À Vous (The World is Yours). This collection, showcased at the UNESCO HQ, underscores a shared philosophy of limitless possibilities.

Wizkid and Pharrell share more than just their uplifting outlooks; both have captivating singing voices, a talent for music production, an eye for discovering international rising stars, and an unmistakable sense of style. For Paris Fashion Week, Williams outfitted Wizkid in one of the freshest looks from the pre-SS25 collection: a V-neck Fair Isle jumper, tailored shorts, and a crisp shirt. Wizkid personalized the look with an ivory tie and white sneakers, swapping out the collegiate tie and preppy loafers from the lookbook.

When asked about his unique style, Wizkid credits "TV and magazines" as well as growing up with twelve sisters. This family influence is evident in his approach to life and fashion.

Family plays a crucial role for both Wizkid and Pharrell. Both artists are in Paris with their families, a testament to their commitment to raising the next generation. "I'm trying to raise champions," Wizkid says about his children. "I instill in them the belief that God has put them here on purpose."

Wizkid’s upcoming album, Morayo, named after his mother, reflects his deep respect for his roots. The Yoruba name, meaning "I see joy," signifies the source of his inspiration. "It's very important for people to know where the source of my magic comes from. I’m African, I’m Nigerian; that's my blood, that's my DNA. So, it's important for me to push [Yoruba] out there – let people know about my culture."

Describing the album as "very, very personal," Wizkid hopes it will uplift spirits and spread positive energy. On potential collaborations, he hints, "We’re meant to collaborate – that’s the essence of humans. We’re here to work together."

In true Pharrell-ism fashion, Wizkid’s words resonate with the spirit of unity and shared human experience.
