Tyler, the Creator is once again joining forces with Converse this time for a special project dubbed the 1908 Program, which breathes new life into the brand’s classic shoe designs.
Launching globally on June 20, the new collection showcases Tyler’s creative reinterpretation of two iconic silhouettes: the Naut-1 and the Coach Jogger. The collection blends vintage inspiration with Tyler’s signature playful, offbeat aesthetic, staying true to Converse’s legacy while introducing bold new looks.
The Naut-1, a popular boat shoe style from the 1970s and ’80s, gets a modern makeover in Tyler’s hands. Now a low-top, it comes in striking colorways like aqua blue and brown, along with fun, eye-catching designs featuring jumping puppies and pink flowers.
Meanwhile, the Coach Jogger originally released in 1976 as an Olympic training shoe is reimagined with sleek, contemporary color combos. Fans can expect rich tones like maroon red, forest green, baby blue, and a blend of cream and golden brown.
While the full collection will be available online worldwide on June 20, fans in Los Angeles will get an exclusive first look at the designs during a pop-up event on June 12.
Beyond fashion, Tyler is also keeping busy with music. He’s currently touring Europe as part of the Chromakopia Tour, with upcoming stops in London, Dublin, Manchester, and Glasgow. He’ll return to the U.S. in early June, headlining New York City’s Governors Ball on June 6 before continuing the tour across major cities including Cincinnati, Cleveland, Chicago, Toronto, Baltimore, Detroit, and Philadelphia.
Tyler continues to prove he’s a creative force across industries blending fashion, music, and vision into one dynamic package.
