NEWS: Black Sherif nominated for BET best international flow

Mohammed Ismail Sherif, commonly known as Black Sherif, is a Ghanaian rapper who has received his first BET nomination for best international flow. He achieved mainstream success in July 2021 with his street anthem "Second Sermon." His compelling melodies and choruses have earned him over 100 million Audiomack plays, and his music has been included in social media influencer videos and NBA All-Star games.

In March 2022, his song "Kwaku the Traveller" topped the Ghanaian and Nigerian Apple Music charts. It had been the world's most Shazamed music, across all genres, in August of this year. Black Sherif will compete against eight other rappers in the best international flow category at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards.

His competitors are Africans Blxckie from South Africa and Nadia Nakai from Zimbabwe. Benjamin Epps (France), Le Juiice (France), Central Cee (UK), Knucks (UK), Haviah Mighty (Canada), and Tasha & Tracie are the other nominees (Brazil).
