VGMA 21 reggae and dancehall winner Kojo Kurakye, commonly known as Ras Kuku, has announced that his colleague musician Black Sherif will be crowned ARTISTE OF THE YEAR at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Ras Kuuku said this during an interview on TV3's New Day morning broadcast today, April 20, 2023. According to Kuuku, the 'Kweku the Traveller' hitmaker has a better chance of winning Artiste of the Year, but he (Blacko) would struggle to win Reggae Song or Reggae Artiste due to tough competition in the category.
Ras Kuuku, who praised Black Sherif's success, indicated that it was due to his hard work and dedication to his trade and talent."This time we worked hard," says the 'Show them love' hitmaker. '3 3 in 1' is well-known.
This year's awards will not be given to anyone who is not a reggae/dancehall musician."Ras Kuuku, who praised Black Sherif's success, attributed it to his hard work and dedication to his line of work. "Let me tell you, Black Sherif is the Artiste of the Year because he worked hard, but on the Reggae side, we "Ras Kuuku and team" worked hard."
