Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian artist, reacted to Yvonne Nelson's revelation in her newly published book title "I am not Yvonne Nelson," which was released on Sunday, June 18, 2023. In her book, Nelson disclosed that she had been pregnant with Sarkodie's child and had chosen to terminate the pregnancy, considering it one of the worst decisions she had made in her life.
Nelson described her experience in the book, mentioning that she had taken a pregnancy test with her friend Karen to confirm her suspicions of a missed period. She admitted that she was too emotionally overwhelmed to open the test results, which could potentially turn her life upside down. She then contacted Sarkodie, whose real name is Michael Owusu Addo, to discuss the situation. Sarkodie, a popular Ghanaian musician, was still on the rise at that time and uncertain about his future success. He was living with his mother and not prepared to take on the responsibility while still relying on her support.
Shatta Wale, upon hearing about Nelson's revelation, initially expressed disbelief, stating that he found it hard to believe that Sarkodie, who he perceives as a non-violent person, would be involved in such a situation. However, he later retracted his statement, saying that he had made inquiries and there could be a possibility that the revelation was true.
Shatta Wale shared his initial reaction, saying,
"Oh no, Sark can't do that? I don't believe this. He won't even harm a mosquito. It's all a lie."
Later, he updated his stance, stating that he had conducted some investigations and discovered that Sarkodie and Yvonne were about to collaborate on a movie, implying that the situation might be related to their professional work. He concluded by saying,
