Renowned singer and entrepreneur Rihanna has been announced as the new face of Dior’s iconic J’Adore fragrance. This exciting collaboration marks yet another significant milestone in Rihanna's illustrious career, following closely on the heels of her recent launch of Fenty Hair.
In a statement released by Women’s Wear Daily, Rihanna expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, “The scent, that I have known and loved for so long, means so much to women. I am especially looking forward to joining this adventure and contributing to it through my world, my story, my roots, as well as my creativity and my own femininity.”
To celebrate the announcement, Dior shared a stunning photograph of Rihanna on Instagram, captioned, “Christian Dior is truly delighted to welcome icon Rihanna, whose wide-ranging talents, remarkable beauty and universal appeal now embody the world of J’adore.”
Rihanna echoed the sentiment on social media, posting, “The secret is out,” on X. The Fenty Beauty mogul is set to appear in a highly anticipated campaign for J’Adore, shot by acclaimed photographer Steven Klein, slated for release on September 1.
Rihanna's history with Dior is long-standing. She has frequently attended Dior fashion shows, including during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year. Notably, in 2015, she made history as Dior’s first Black ambassador.
Véronique Courtois, CEO of Parfums Christian Dior, highlighted the reasons behind choosing Rihanna as the face of J’Adore: “The choice of Rihanna to be the next face of J’Adore was obvious for us. Not only is she one of the greatest and most powerful artists of all times, she is also multitalented, a successful entrepreneur, a committed humanitarian, a mother of two, and a singular beauty.”
Dior’s J’Adore fragrance, known for its exquisite balance of floral and fruity notes, features ylang-ylang, Turkish Damascus rose, jasmine grandiflorum, and Indian jasmine sambac. Fans can purchase Dior J’Adore Eau de Parfum, 1 oz., by visiting Dior’s official website.
This collaboration not only reinforces Rihanna's status as a global icon but also adds a new chapter to the storied legacy of Dior’s J’Adore fragrance.
