The 26th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) was a celebration of talent, hard work, and creativity in Ghana’s vibrant music industry. Held on May 11, 2025, the event brought together the finest acts in Ghanaian music, with electrifying performances and emotional award moments.
The biggest highlight of the night was King Promise being crowned Artiste of the Year, a well-deserved recognition of his consistency, artistry, and impressive growth over the past year. The singer also took home awards for Best Afro-Beats/Afropop Artiste, Best Afro-Pop Song with “Paris,” and Album/EP of the Year for True to Self.
Rapper Kweku Smoke also had a notable night, winning Best Hip Hop Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Hiplife/HipHop Artiste, while King Paluta’s hit single “Aseda” was awarded Best Highlife Song of the Year and Most Popular Song of the Year.
The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award went to gospel legend Yaw Sarpong, honoring his lasting impact on the industry.
