Jamaican dancehall star Popcaan has shut down rumors claiming he’ll perform in Accra, Ghana, on December 26, 2025. In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on October 29, the “Unruly Boss” made it clear that he has “no knowledge” of any scheduled show in Ghana, responding to fake announcements and flyers that had been spreading among fans online.

The rumor didn’t come out of nowhere Popcaan has a strong connection with Ghana. He bought a $5.5 million mansion there in 2020 during the “Year of Return” campaign, has visited several times, and even shot music videos in the country. Because of this, many fans were quick to believe talk of a Boxing Day concert. However, as of now, there are no official tour dates for Popcaan listed for 2025 or 2026 on major concert sites like Songkick or Bandsintown.
Popcaan’s post seemed like a move to protect fans from false information or possible scams, while hinting that a real Ghana concert could happen soon describing it as “a celebration and a lifestyle moment that is long overdue.” The tweet has since gone viral, with many Ghanaian fans expressing both disappointment and love for the artist, saying things like “We’ll be waiting for the real one, Boss!”
For now, Popcaan is reminding fans to keep an eye on his official pages (@PopcaanMusic) for real updates about any upcoming shows.
To the loyal unruly fans in Ghana I have no knowledge of me performing in Ghana Dec 26, whenever I’m performing you will all know and it will
