NEWS: “Give Me Four Years”—elvinthedon Predicts Breakthrough Into Japan.

Ghanaian artiste elvinthedon on a  Twitch Live stream session with rising Ghanaian TikTok star and music promoter Ananzo, where he shared major updates on his music journey, future plans, and an upcoming EP.

elvinthedon addressing the ongoing conversation why musician are switching from rapping to singing. He dismissed any rivalry between the two styles, stating that artists should embrace versatility. “There is no harm in an artist switching from rap to singing,” he said, adding, “As an artiste you have to be versatile.” He later played one of his own tracks to demonstrate his comfort with both rap and melodic singing.

Elvin also revealed his long-term ambition, saying he envisions his music being played in Japan within the next four years. One of the biggest highlights of the session was his confirmation that he is currently in talks with South African rap star Nasty C for a potential collaboration — news that immediately sparked excitement among viewers.

He further described music as “the study of nature,” likening it to science, and opened up about personal growth, admitting that his past mistake was “not being selfish enough.” According to him, coming from a family that loves helping others made him overly selfless, something he now believes must change at certain stages of life.

When asked about his favorite song from his catalog, he mentioned “A Bitter Portrait.” Elvin then confirmed that his next project, an EP titled The Red Genesis, will be release soon. The livestream was hosted by Ananzo (Eugene Ananzo Junior), a Takoradi-born TikTok sensation popularly known as the “Washing Bay Promoter.” Ananzo went viral earlier this year after a video of him passionately singing Davido’s verse on “With You” at his washing bay job amassed over 16 million views, earning him $5,000 from Davido. He now uses his platform to promote emerging artistes through interviews, freestyles, and live sessions like this one.
