Biography:
Born in Kumasi, Ghana, Elsie Raad grew up as an only child of her parents but was never alone. She was surrounded by a large extended family, with cousins playing a big role in her childhood and shaping some of her fondest memories. Because her family moved around a lot, she grew up experiencing different environments, which helped shape her open-minded and adaptable nature.
She attended Accra Girls Senior High School, where she studied General Arts. Her love for music started at a very young age after hearing a jingle on the radio while playing behind her mother’s salon. That small moment stayed with her and slowly grew into something bigger. What truly pulled her into music wasn’t a person or fame—it was the music itself.
She officially began her journey as a professional musician in April 2024. Since then, she has focused on growth, learning, and staying true to herself. Her days are a balance of working on her craft, helping at home, and trying to stay grounded in a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
She places a lot of value on her fans and the community she is building. As a growing artiste, she makes a conscious effort to engage and connect with her supporters, known as her Raadicals, believing that genuine relationships are just as important as the music.
Although still early in her career, she has already performed on notable platforms such as Bar 7 Concert, Accravaganza, Manifestivities, and made her debut appearance on Channel 1 Citi TV. While she hasn’t received any awards yet, she remains optimistic and confident about what lies ahead.
Beyond music, she has a wide range of interests. She once dreamed of becoming a flight attendant, explored acting for a while, and hopes to return to it in the future. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, painting, doodling in parks, watching movies, and trying new things. For her, leisure time is about play, creativity, and self-expression.
She believes strongly in originality and doesn’t aim to be like anyone else in the industry. While she draws inspiration from others, her main advice to upcoming artists is to stay true to themselves and embrace who they are, because authenticity is what truly sets an artist apart.
