One of Accra’s most beloved nightlife venues, Garage, has announced it will be closing permanently at the end of this month, bringing an end to over five years of music, culture, and unforgettable memories. The club will host its final event on Sunday, June 29, 2025, marking a significant moment for Ghana’s entertainment landscape.
The announcement was made on social media with a heartfelt message that read:
"After an incredible journey, the time has come for us to say goodbye. Thank you for the memories, the music, and the magic. Garage is officially closing its doors."
In a longer post titled “End of An Era – Thank You Accra,” the club reflected on how it all began just a bold idea that turned into something much bigger. Over the years, Garage became a home for music lovers, partygoers, creatives, and anyone looking for a good time.
"Thousands of nights, countless cheers, and a community we’ll never forget," the post said. "To everyone who ever danced, drank, celebrated, worked, performed, or found themselves at Garage thank you. You made it what it was."
While the news comes as a shock to many, Garage hinted that this may not be the end forever.
"This isn’t goodbye forever. Just the end of this chapter." The message ended with: "We came. We saw. We conquered."
Since opening its doors, Garage has been more than just a club. It’s been a platform for artists, a space for celebration, and a key part of Accra’s buzzing nightlife. Its closing will definitely leave a gap in the city’s entertainment scene.
