NEWS: Shatta Wale Reveals He Saved GHS 750,000 by Age 14.

During an episode of the Rants, Bants, and Confessions podcast, popular Ghanaian dancehall artist and "One Don" hitmaker, Shatta Wale, opened up about his early start in financial discipline, revealing that he had saved GHS 750,000 by the time he was just 14 years old. The episode, titled "Fake Life in the Industry," delved into the pressures of the music industry, where Shatta Wale shed light on his own experiences with wealth and authenticity.

He shared that growing up, his rich father regularly provided him with pounds and dollars for his upkeep. However, Shatta Wale mentioned that he rarely needed to use the money, as his needs were fully provided for. This gave him the opportunity to save, a habit he developed at a very young age.

"I started saving at the age of 14," he recalled. "I went to Prudential Bank, told the manager I was 18, and said I wanted to learn how to save."

Reflecting on his life both then and now, Shatta Wale explained that he’s never had to “fake it” because financial security had always been a part of his journey. According to him, his wealth wasn’t a performance, it was real.

He also stressed that while branding and packaging are crucial for success in the industry, they should come from a place of authenticity and the right mindset. For him, branding isn’t about creating a false image but presenting oneself in a way that reflects both one’s personality and ambitions.
