On 21st April,2025, Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy delivered a thrilling performance in Ejisu, Kumasi, as part of the festive celebrations. However, the event took a surprising turn when a fan in the crowd, identified as Lilian, had her phone stolen during the performance.
Midway through his energetic set, Stonebwoy paused to address the incident, urging the crowd to return the stolen phone. Despite his appeal, the phone was not recovered. In a heartwarming gesture, the musician promised to replace the phone after the show.
True to his word, Stonebwoy followed through on his promise—albeit away from the public eye. According to Lilian, who is a student at KNUST, she approached the artiste’s team after the show, and Stonebwoy instructed one of his team members to "sort her out" with a cash amount equivalent to the cost of the lost phone.
Lilian later took to social media to express her gratitude and share her emotional experience. She also addressed backlash from skeptics who accused her of staging the incident for attention. “Some people are saying it was fake and just for show, but it really happened, and I’m grateful to Stonebwoy and his team,” she wrote.
Fans have since commended the musician for his kindness and humility, further solidifying his reputation not only as a performer but also as someone who genuinely cares about his supporters.
